in
the
Making.

In an industry where corporate-speak is the norm and authenticity is seen as risky, we decided to break the mould then remake it in a style that was so Make.

Getting
Real
to
Recruit
Real
People.

The
Challenge.

Make is nothing short of an amazing company in general, which also makes it a great place to work. They’re a small (for now) but mighty team, specializing in project management for all kinds of builds. This is a highly competitive space, which is why they needed a hard-working website and a video to help them find more like-minded, driven people to level up their already awesome team. But how do you get the word out there without sounding like “just another project management firm?”

Solution.

We identified a recurring theme in the industry: everyone’s saying the same thing. No one’s being real or themselves. But we found that the people of Make (the Makers) and the way they worked together was their secret sauce. It's a company where people are trusted and encouraged to bring ideas and solutions to the table—without the internal roadblocks, office politics, or red tape. So we built a website that showcased how Make is the real deal in the industry with the realest people, capable of being a small company thriving in the big leagues. We made a recruitment video that showed the awesome people on the team for who they really are, and we refreshed their brand and website with a modern look that captured what makes Make who they are.

Consistency.

Our strategy was to make a website and videos that were a “corporate mullet.” Business on the front end, party on the recruitment end.

Planned
Improvisation.

Preproduction is something many overlook when it comes to interview videos. Not us. We came in with a plan and delivered exactly what we promised without scripting anything.

Digital
Modernization.

We took a dated website and brought it into the modern era with SEO best practices and a cleaner user experience.
