Challenge. 

Many homeowners in BC have no idea where to start FireSmarting their home. It seems daunting, expensive, and beyond their skillset. But that’s hardly the case. Some of the biggest things they can do are things that are very basic changes around the yard and in the garden.

Solution. 

We created a special guide, available online and in garden centres, highlighting all the landscaping actions homeowners can take to protect their property. Scientifically backed and easily actionable, this was a powerful tool that we now needed to announce. And who better to do that than BC’s most famous gardener, Brian Minter. We had him star in the announcement video. As the host of his own CBC Radio show on gardening and the owner of the famous Minter Gardens Garden Centre, he was the perfect choice.

We spearheaded the design of the physical guide, and the development of the online guide, so everyone could get FireSmart.

Celebrity 
Sourcing. 

We worked directly with Brian Minter to tell a unique story of the importance of getting FireSmart, using the FireSmart Landscaping Guide.
