As our agency continues to grow, we’ve focused on diversifying our service offerings for our clients and partners in the construction, manufacturing, and resource-based sectors. We recognize that for major projects or industrial businesses to achieve success, we must be able to meaningfully engage with stakeholders and communities. That’s why SitePartners is investing in resources to help our clients develop a stakeholder-focused approach to their projects or business.
“We know that in order for major infrastructure projects to advance, the industry must proactively engage with stakeholders and communities in a meaningful way,” says Andrew Hansen, Founder and CEO of SitePartners. “We want to provide our clients with the right tools to be successful, so we’ve hired Kayla Bordignon (Director, Communications and Engagement) to lead our stakeholder engagement efforts, including Indigenous engagement.”
Kayla is passionate about engaging with local and Indigenous communities, as well as stakeholders impacted by major infrastructure projects, and she is committed to building authentic relationships based on trust and communication. “She will be instrumental in helping our clients develop project-specific inclusion plans, adding value at the local community levels while maximizing stakeholder participation on projects.” Continues Andrew.
Kayla brings over ten years of experience on major construction and infrastructure projects, including the South Fraser Perimeter Road Project (Delta/Surrey, BC), LNG Canada (Kitimat, BC), the Southwest Calgary Ring Road Project (Calgary, AB), and the Trans Mountain Expansion Project (Lower Mainland, BC). Most recently, she developed Ledcor’s internal Indigenous Awareness Training program to help educate staff about Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
“Kayla’s dedication to building positive and sustainable working relationships with Indigenous communities will create new mutually-beneficial partnership opportunities within the industrial sector,” says Danica Gallaher, VP of Communications & Strategy at SitePartners. “We are excited to further grow our Public Relations and Stakeholder Engagement practice at SitePartners.”
Kayla joins SitePartners at an exciting time, adding to recent project awards, organic client growth, and a growing team. Kayla will work out of the SitePartners head office in Surrey, BC, with the ability to service clients across Canada.
“As a specialized marketing agency, the key to our success and the value we bring to the industry is our people,” continues Andrew. “Kayla has a proven track record of working on some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects across Canada, providing a full range of marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement services. We look forward to bringing her experience and expertise to our growing firm.”
